Prior to booking a flight ticket, it is wise to know if the fare you are about to purchase is eligible for a voluntary refund or not, as not all fares are fully refundable and some fares may not be eligible for a refund.
Should you cancel your ticket, how much you will get in return is equally important.
Fare rules typically indicate the refund eligibility of a fare and the charges that apply to any refund, where applicable. Specific fare rules supersede the industry or generic rules that may be associated with a particular fare.
Refund on an Ibom Air ticket must always be initiated by an email from the customer to the Customer Contact Center (reservations@ibomair.com); if the ticket was booked directly with Ibom Air.

- Voluntary refund requested 2 hours or less before the scheduled flight time or any time after the flight departure time are considered as NO SHOW refund. This attracts a 50% surcharge on the full ticketed fare less the applicable outstanding penalties.
- In the case of a schedule disruption or flight disruption initiated by the carrier, an involuntary refund may be processed at 100% on the ticket fare.
- In the case of the proven death of the traveller; a 100% value of the unused ticket shall be refunded to the identified family relative (i.e. spouse, biological parent or biological child).

- Non-Refundable Fees: Booking fees and service charges (no show fees; change fees) are often non-refundable even if the ticket is otherwise eligible for a refund.
- Third-Party Services: If you purchased insurance service; such service is not eligible for refund. Any service from third-party service providers are in most cases not eligible for refund; where they are, you must contact those providers directly for any refunds.
